Look at Me!

Thought you'd all like to see how big I am getting. The top picture is of me and all my cousins on Christmas Eve. The third picture is of me and my big brother Reece. He sure is a lot of fun.
I had an awesome first Christmas and I am already 10 pounds!
I am getting bigger and stronger everyday!
I'll post more later.
Love,
Mason

Feeling Blessed!!!

Today, I'm just kicking back realizing how blessed I am. I have so many cool things going for me. First of course, there are my incredible good looks. Really helps with the ladies. Who can resist cuddling with a chick magnet like me? Seriously, I feel that God has given me so many things to be thankful for. Sure, I have Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, and my life my be different than most, but I think that is one of my blessings. God has brought so many wonderful people into my life. I see God everyday in the way that my mom looks at me and takes care of me. I see God in my dad who worries about me and tends to hog all the snuggle time. I see God in my big brother Reece who always has to check on me and make sure that I'm ok. I see God in all my aunties who fight over who is the "favorite aunite". I see God in my church family, my grandparents, small group, and all the friends who showed up at my Bowl for Mason fundraiser. So what if I eat from a tube in my tummy? So what if I wear oxygen? So what if I"m small? I know that God exists because of all the love I feel around me every single day. So because of all this, I feel that I'm the one with all the blessings!

I am wiped out!

Oh, I am so tired. I've been sleeping all day. I went to this really cool event last night called Bowl for Mason. Can you believe it was for me? There were like 300 people there to see me! I got lots of hugs and kisses. I must say, I looked really awesome in my custom Bowl For Mason onesie! I even had my hair all combed and smelling good. The chicks really dig me! My Nana came in from New Jersey to come to the fundraiser, so I got even more snuggle time in. My mom and dad were really nervous about the event, but once they got there, they were so happy to see all of our family and friends. Even my pediatrician, Dr. Stroman came to bowl. How awesome is that? My big brother Reece was sporting his new Sponge Bob bowling ball. Someday, I'm going to get one too. I want to be just like my brother...he is one cool dude. So now everyone who came to the event knows all about Cornelia de Lange syndrome and what us kids are like. We are just kids who need some extra care and attention. Believe me...I love the extra attention!!!

What Not To Wear

So, I sent an email to the big wigs over at "What Not To Wear" so that I can look real spiffy for my big debut on Saturday at the Bowl-a-Thon. To be honest, I'm getting a bit tired of wearing duckies, bunnies, and footie jammies. Bring on the leather jacket and pleather pants! And this Johnson & Johnson shampoo is not cutting it at all! I am in need of some serious hair relaxin'. I just can't seem to manage all these curls. There is just so much to do before the big day, I just don't know where to start. I mean...do I take an early nap or a late nap. Should I eat before I go, or when I get there? Then I have to save room for the bake sale! Yum. I can't wait to meet everyone that is coming. I can't wait to see everyone bowling! I'm going to try and get my first strike so I can become a pro like my moms friend Diandra. Don't worry ladies, I'll have enough smooches to go around. Hopefully people will be smoking outside so I can stay awhile! Being on oxygen is hard enough without having to worry about being around lit cigarettes and smoke! Plus the smell will ruin my new duds! I better go now...I'm gonna con my mom into working on some new hairdo's for me.

Busi-ness

Boy--it's sure been busy around here. My big brother Reece started school. I'm so proud of him. He's in first grade and real smart. I hope I'm just like him someday. He lost 2 teeth and is now rich 'cause the tooth fairy gave him some dough. (Don't tell anyone, but he has two holes in his mouth and it sort of looks funny. I wonder what he's gonna look like when he looses more teeth.)
My dad's been real busy too workin' alot. He's a pilot ya know. I'm proud of him too. He just started fly big planes. One day, he'll even fly bigger planes but he still had many miles to go. (Not sure what all that means.)
And my mom, she start school again, which is sort of strange to me 'cause I thought she was too old to be in school still. She's a little stress these days. I know this 'cause she eat p'zone's like crazy.
Anyway, only a week and a half until the big bowl a thon. I heard all the lanes are sold. I cannot wait to go bowling. I heard I might have a special bowling shirt on just for the ladies. I'll have to get my hair styled a special way. ( I have my own person hairstylist on hand.)

OH, What a Night...

No, I'm not singing the song that we are familiar with. Boy, it was a rough night. I didn't do so well with the bottle. I gave my mom a scare and started choking. Yep, went down the wrong hatch. Because of my high palate, I have a hard time sucking. (Hence the reason for the feeding tube in my tummy.) Sometimes, us CDLS kids don't get to drink from a bottle but I'm really trying hard to. In addition to my high palate, I have reflux which I take medicine for a couple times a day.
85% of my CDLS friends have reflux prolems. Most times, we can grow out of it. Talk about putting a damper on a good cuddling session. It comes out my nose and mouth. GROSS. Then it clogs up my oxygen thingie and PLEAZZZE -- lets not even mention the blue sucker monster that goes up my nose and in my mouth to get any extra stuff out. UNCOMFORTABLE. It burns and sometimes my nose gets red and I get a bit of a bloody nose at times.
I don't want to gross you out too much so I'm gonna take a nap and talk to you later.
